How we estimate drywall
Drywall is estimated by partition type. Each wall type on the drawings has a board count, layer count and stud size, so we measure wall lengths and heights per type and convert them into board area, framing and finishing.
Ceilings, soffits and bulkheads come from the reflected ceiling plan. Fire-rated, moisture-resistant and abuse-resistant boards are kept separate, and the specified finish level is stated for each area.
What we measure
- Partition wall board by type and layer count
- Metal stud and track framing for partitions
- Drywall ceilings, soffits and bulkheads
- Fire-rated assemblies and shaft walls
- Tape, compound, corner bead and trims
- Finish levels (Level 1–5) as specified
