How we estimate millwork & furnishing
Millwork and casework are measured from interior elevations: base and upper cabinets by length, countertops by area or length, and custom pieces as individual items. Finish carpentry such as doors, trim and shelving is counted from plans and schedules.
Furniture, fixtures and equipment are listed from the FF&E schedule where one is provided, separated from built-in work so owner-furnished items can be excluded cleanly.
